Download Labelmate
Updated September 24, 2026
Labelmate is an app for your computer: a Mac today, Windows on request while its installer is not signed yet. Your label's data stays on your computers.
For Mac
Open the disk image, then drag Labelmate into the Applications folder. The app is signed with Apple's Developer ID and notarized by Apple: the first time you open it, macOS only asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet.
- macOS Monterey 12 or later.
- A Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel processor.
Check the file
To make sure the file you downloaded is the one we published, compare its SHA-256 checksum with this one:
e024cc50ad5fd6cd21f2fd75bce7e97588a00327ce43758ee4fd5e07c9fcd471In Terminal, type the command below (with Labelmate.dmg as the name if you used getlabelmate.com/download). The two checksums must be the same.
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Labelmate-0.1.9.dmgFor Windows
The Windows installer exists, but it is not signed yet, so for now we send it by hand, and Windows warns before running it. Write to us at contact@getlabelmate.com and we'll get it to you.
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64).
- Microsoft Edge WebView2: if it is missing, the installer adds it, which needs an internet connection.
- Labelmate installs in your own Windows account's folders, without administrator rights.
Updating
Labelmate looks for a new version when it opens and every six hours, downloads it without interrupting anything, and installs it only when you click Restart to update. In Settings, Updates, “Check for updates” looks straight away. The request sends nothing about your label.
Version 0.1.1 and earlier do not look by themselves: download the current version here once and drag it into Applications, replacing the old one. Your label, its settings and its backups stay where they are.
