What's new
Updated September 24, 2026
What changed in each version of Labelmate, newest first.
Labelmate 0.1.9
September 27, 2026, Mac
- Correct an issued statement: once the cause is fixed (a contract, some lines, a distributor’s corrected report), Labelmate shows every difference and issues the correction in two clicks. The latest statements get a new version, the old one kept in the archive and marked as replaced; if later statements are already issued, the difference goes on the artist’s next statement. An artist is never asked to pay anything back.
- Complete contracts: a rate per channel, at home or abroad, a rate step past a threshold, dated reductions on all or some tracks, a minimum payment, an advance paid later, contracts recouped together on one account, and profit splits. The AI carries over every rate it read.

- Lines to match: every report line Labelmate cannot tie to a track is listed, in groups, with its amount. Tie it to a track or an album’s tracks, add it to the catalog, or leave it out if it is not a sale. Your choices carry over to that distributor’s next reports.
- Statements every month, quarter, six months or year, following the calendar: changing never touches a statement already issued.
- The label’s currency is chosen when you create it and in Settings (euro, dollar, pound and 14 others), until any amount is recorded.
- Month fields are now month and year menus.
Labelmate 0.1.7
September 26, 2026, Mac
- A report from a distributor Labelmate doesn’t know yet is no longer a dead end: “Show Labelmate how to read this report” opens its columns with a first guess, you confirm which is which, and you see the first lines as they will be imported. That distributor’s next reports import by themselves, on every computer of the label.
- Before saving, Labelmate checks that the lines add up to the file’s own total, asks for the currency when the file doesn’t name it, and asks whether dates start with the day or the month when both readings work.
- A format taught with a mistake can be forgotten in Reports, and taught again.
Labelmate 0.1.6

- In Settings, AI reading now says Off when no mailbox lets the AI read: nothing is sent to it then. The switch beside each mailbox is simply labeled “AI”, and its position says whether the AI reads that mailbox.
Labelmate 0.1.5
September 25, 2026, Mac
- Settings have their own column on the left: Label, Connected mailboxes, AI reading, Computers, Change history, Backups, License, Updates, About. Each section opens on its own, and the links on Home lead to the right one.
Labelmate 0.1.4

- The green line stays at the very top of the window: the window no longer bounces when you scroll past the end.
- Scrolling with a mouse wheel glides and eases out, as in Safari.
- No more grey band under the top line.
- A label whose key had been kept under Labelmate's development name opens again: the app checks that the key opens this label before taking it, and macOS asks once for permission.
Labelmate 0.1.3
September 25, 2026, Mac
- A lighter app: the published version is optimized end to end and no longer carries debugging information.
- Statements, a single statement and recoupment open about twice as fast on a large report: each report is now read once per page.
- The window shows without waiting for the titles' font; titles take their font as soon as it arrives.
- When syncing brings changes from another computer, the screens update by themselves.
Labelmate 0.1.2
September 24, 2026, Mac
- Automatic updates: Labelmate looks for a new version a minute after it opens, then every six hours, downloads it without interrupting anything, and installs it only when you click Restart, once its signature is checked. In Settings, Updates: check now, or turn off the automatic check on this computer.
- Settings, About: who publishes Labelmate, links to the privacy policy, the terms of use and help, and the open-source components the app contains, each with its license.
- If a screen fails to draw, a page says so, with Reload and Home, in place of a blank window. If Labelmate stops on an error, it notes only the time, its version, the system and the place in its code, in a file that stays on this computer; nothing is sent.
- Opening a file: the copy handed to your viewer sits in a folder only your account can read, emptied when Labelmate opens and quits. A file that came in an email is marked as downloaded from the internet, and only documents, spreadsheets, images, emails and archives open directly; anything else is shown in Finder.
- The label's folder can now be read only by your account on this computer.
- When the relay asks a computer to slow down, the computer waits for its next round: nothing is lost.
- When our servers turn a request down, Labelmate says why in plain words: wait a few minutes, a revoked license, or a license already used on too many computers.
- Settings, About, Copy diagnostics: a few lines for support (the version, the system, counts of items, the latest error codes, the error log and the workspace ID, a random code), never a name, a title, an amount or an email. Nothing is sent: you choose where to paste it.
- Settings, Computers: the workspace ID, with a Copy button, to give us if you ask us to erase your data from our servers. A calm notice there also says when a file is over 25 MB and cannot go through our servers, or when the space for your files there is full: nothing is lost, the files stay on this computer and changes keep syncing.
- Syncing no longer stops on one part: if our servers turn down or hold back one send, or one file, the rest still goes, and what did not go waits for the next round.
- After an internal error, Labelmate reopens the label from disk and carries on, with no need to restart it; what was saved stays intact.
- The local error log is capped at 64 KB: beyond that it is set aside and a new one starts, so the newest lines are kept.
- The privacy policy (among other things, the update checks and the local error log) and the terms of use (among other things, open-source components and updates) changed on September 24, 2026: getlabelmate.com/en/privacy and getlabelmate.com/en/terms.
Labelmate 0.1.1
September 24, 2026, Mac
- Each mailbox's AI switch is respected: Labelmate's AI reads only the mailboxes where it is switched on.
- The consent given to the AI now also covers the emails Labelmate keeps (their subject and what the sender wrote), not only documents. If the AI was on before this version, it is off after the update until someone switches it on again in Settings. Nothing is lost.
- The Archive offers the audit pack for every issued statement.
- Restore a label from a backup and its twenty-four words, from the first screen, or from the screen shown when a label will not open on this computer.
- Fixes from a review of the whole app: adding a computer that fails stops instead of waiting, and a contract paid in points is edited with its own tracks.
